Oscar Isaac is rounding out the cast of Zack Snyder’s “Sucker Punch.”

The Warner Bros./Legendary drama, centering on a girl who’s institutionalized by her stepfather and retreats into an alternative reality, will begin shooting this fall. Emily Browning plays the girl; Carla Gugino, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Scott Glenn and Abbie Cornish are also on board.

Zack and Deborah Snyder are producing “Sucker Punch” through their Cruel & Unusual banner. He’s directing from a script he co-wrote with Steven Shibuya.

Isaac, last seen in “Body of Lies” and “Che,” has been in production on Ridley Scott’s untitled Robin Hood adventure for Universal alongside Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, and William Hurt. He’ll be seen next in Alejandro Amenabar’s romancer “Agora,” with Rachel Weisz, and in indie drama “Balibo,” set amid the Indonesian invasion of East Timor in 1975.

Emily Browning alongside Vanessa, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, and Jamie Chung were spotted at a local Vancouver stored Aritzia boutique on August 21st.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Zack Snyder’s upcoming all girl, ass-kicking fest, Sucker Punch. The last time I checked they were playing a serious game of shuffle board with it’s actors. According to Yahoo, we can expect another full blooded female to join the cast in the form of Watchmen alumni, Carla Gugino. The cast currently includes Emily Browning, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, and Abbie Cornish.

Set in the 1950’s, Sucker Punch is about a young girl committed to an insane asylum, who dreams of escaping with the help of her fellow inmates. The leader of the pack is Baby Doll (Browning), a girl who’s step-father plans on having her lobotomized in five days. Gugino will star in the role of Mrs. Schultz, one of the adults at the institution. Since the film will have a pretty heavy dose of action, the primary actresses are currently in martial arts training. Sucker Punch is expected to start shooting this fall in Vancouver.

I love how the description of Gugino’s character is kept so vague. She could be a psycho too for all we know! It would be cool to see her get in on some of the martial arts action as well. We didn’t really get to see much of it in Watchmen.

Moviegoes won’t see the mad-house girls of “Sucker Punch” until 2011, but director Zack Snyder has comely young inmates — including Abbie Cornish, right — in training already.

After the bloody hyper-reality of “300″ and the alternate-universe intensity of “Watchmen,” filmmkaer Snyder is ramping up for “Sucker Punch,” a surreal action film about a young woman who hopes to brak out of an pyschiatric unit with the help of the her four new wild-child friends, who may just be in her head.

The stars of the film are Emily Browning (“Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events”), Jamie Chung (“Dragonball Evolution”) Jena Malone (“Into the Wild”), Cornish (“Stop-Loss”) and, joltingly, Disney’s very own Vanessa Hudgens of “High School Musical” fame.

Cornish, who plays the leader-of-the-pack Sweetpea, said that Snyder (below, left) has the starlets working out like Spartan warriors.

“Sometimes,” she said, “I forget I’m an actor. We’re training so hard.” How hard? She said their five-day-a-week morning is “doing martial fighting, swords and choreography — just kicking butt with guns and everything imaginable. And then we do a training session in the afternoon. It’s like being a stunt person, really, not an actor at all. ”

Zack Cornish has been generating some Oscar buzz with her radiant turn as Fanny Brawne in Jane Campion’s “Bright Star,” which weaves a tale out of the 19th century romance between Brawne and doomed British poet John Keats. Don’t expect any corsets in “Sucker Punch,” though, which sounds like some high-octane mash-up of “Fight Club” and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”

“The film is a dream in a way, ” explains Cornish, which is set in the 1960s. “It operates on three levels. A reality, then a sub-reality where the psych ward world shifts into this strange high-roller’s brothel. Then there’s this dream world where it goes into these crazy action sequences that are totally removed from time and space.”

Cornish added that It’s still Sweatpea in the dream world, but “just all of a sudden she becomes a crazy killing machine and she’s decked out in a really cool outfit.”

Hey Guys! I just wanted to give you all a bit heads up on the Forum situation incase you all are wondering what’s going on. As you previously know that EBO was hacked and weird codes was placed on all PHP pages. I would have to manually remove that code by hand and with all the php pages involved with the forum, that would take a blue million years. So one of the co-owners of fan-sites.org recommended that I just delete the forum and start over b/c the same thing happened to her and she didn’t want to mess with the php coding. So that is why the forum isn’t there now. I am going to be using a different forum script, one that I have used before an I am quiet more comfortable with and know how to make better layout headers with it. So it will be up ASAP. Sorry for the hassle!

As some of you that frequently visits EBO might have noticed that some of the updates have disappeared well I am here to explain that issue. EBO was recently hacked by some shit head who posted their lame php advertising code on all the php pages (including wordpress, forum, and gallery). So my host decided to restore the site to make it safer b/c whomever did this possibly put a virus on the site. But no worries, everything is fine now an I hope that this problem doesn’t happen again.

I recently checked my email an I got an email pertaining to the gallery being down by one of the viewers. So I just wanted to write here to let you guys know that I have contacted my host to see what the problem is and the gallery should be back up ASAP, so please be patient until the problem is solved! Thanks for understanding. Mean while since it is down, why not join the forum to chat with Emily fans to pass the time by?
